The Hurst Foundation prides itself on its open minded and flexible grant making capabilities.
With respect to our conservative and capitalist history, we place preference on programs or projects that align with the following priorities:
The Hurst Foundation seeks to fund 501(c)3 organizations that exhibit wise use of its resources with realistic plans for long term sustainability without dependency on Foundation support. Furthermore, best practices in organization and board leadership is expected along with effective communication of program or project results. In addition, the Hurst Foundation strongly believes collaboration and coordination between similar organizations in the community and funding partners creates strength in and viability of efforts.
Final funding decisions will be based on the Hurst Foundation's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.
