Steps to Apply

Grant applications can be submitted at any time, but for consideration within the current calendar year, please submit requests by October 1st.  All grant decisions are made by December 1st unless an organization has an immediate funding need.

Application Requirements & How to Apply:
  • 500 word or less summary that describes the request and purpose for funding.
    • The summary should include how this award will benefit the community and how the Hurst Foundation is vital to the cause.  Include any other organizations you could collaborate with to reach this goal.  Also, describe ways in which you have or will create a self-sustaining model. 
  • Proof of 501(c)3 designation
  • Current year's annual budget compared to actual budget
  • Completed grant application that includes all sources of funding and the size of the request in proportion to an average, annual budget
